The first thing I noticed about Susie Lindau’s Wild Ride was the smile she wore while seated on her mountain bike in a green field with the Colorado Rockies in the distance. She’s got a backpack on, filled with sports equipment. Her eyes squinting into the sun, face half in shadow, her smile says, “I love my life.”

I’m drawn to people like Susie, people who engage with life as full participants in both its joys and its sorrows. In her Wild Ride, you’ll find a potpourri of adventures. . . and a few ghost stories. Here’s just a sample of what I love most.
-
Susie Lindau* “Boob Reports” where she writes letters to and from her bionic boobs after a double mastectomy. “It’s not that I’m a cancer survivor, I’m a cancer thriver,” she says.
- With over 18,700 followers, Susie chooses to share the love. She hosts blog hop parties, where people (like me) can post a link to his or her blog and introduce themselves to a new audience. My favorite blog party doubles as a holiday blessing project. Lots of great blogs and people to discover here!
The #Blessed Projects are in! You will laugh and cry…
- She writes beautiful and surprising flash fiction, and has penned a psychological thriller incorporating some of her own ghostly experiences at the Stanley Hotel and beyond.
I could go on, but I think you get it. If you love a woman who laughs at her mistakes, gets up after falling down, skis, dances, and obsesses over holiday decorations–all while enjoying herself immensely–Susie will delight.
Your turn: What kind of adventures do you enjoy?

Oh! WOW! Thank you so much for the incredibly beautiful post, Angela! This took so much time and energy! There aren’t enough exclamation points in the world to express what I am feeling right now. You made my whole year! *tears well up* Thank you so much for being a part of my blogging community. The world needs more positive people like you. I’m so glad we met!
You deserve to feel the love, you spread so much of it yourself. I’ve loved reading about your adventures. Loving life is an art form, and you are an accomplished artist. I’m so glad we met, too!
“Susie’s blog is just another run of the mill blog on WordPress”, said no one ever! Couldn’t agree more with you Angela. Besides enjoying her posts, she has helped me and others make connections with bloggers like yourself. She could be getting finders fees, but don’t tell her. Merry Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by! I’m delighted to find so many awesome folks in the blogosphere- many of whom I find through the generous offices of people like Susie. So glad to know you and your charming blog, too. I absolutely love your thoughts that keep you up at night! I shared it with my team at work, so they could stop wondering why I kept chuckling like a lunatic at my desk. Happy Holidays to you!
This is nice, reading an old post that you’d written about Susie. I just wanted to pop in and say that I absolutely LOVE the top she’s wearing (re her boobs). Just brilliant.
She is pretty awesome. I’m going to repeat this feature this year. The only problem is, there are SO many blogs to love!
